Infocad come piattaforma di sperimentazione per il progetto LIA-BIM dell'Università di Firenze
THE CHALLENGE
In November 2022, an experimental project was launched in collaboration with the Computer Laboratory of Architecture – Building Information Modeling (LIA-BIM) and our company, Descor. This project aims at the use of Infocad as a platform for the management of the real estate assets of the University of Florence. The collaboration focuses on the research and study of ‘tools and methods for the digital management of complex real estate assets’, with a focus on data interoperability in BIM_GIS_CAFM and CMMS systems.
The main objective, led by Professor and Architect Luca Marzi, is to strengthen the link between the academic and territorial spheres, promoting collaborative forms for specific studies, research, training and teaching.
LIA-BIM, under the direction of Prof. Carlo Biagini, contributes expertise in the field of digitisation and information management of building heritage, using interoperable tools associated with BIM_GIS_CAFM-CMMS technologies.
Prof. Biagini also runs a Master’s degree on the management of data during the life cycle of buildings with an approach oriented to Facility Management. In this context, Prof. Luca Marzi, together with LIA-BIM, is developing didactic and research activities that have highlighted the need to involve our society in a closer dialogue.
