With its exponential growth, Mondo Convenienza decided to extend its technical department with the Real Estate & Property area, a department that today manages over 200,000 square metres of properties of various types and uses, located between Italy and Spain.

The creation of the new area brings with it the need to manage CAD plans and BIM models – for which a LOD 350 was chosen – and to be able to do this with a single nomenclature. The company decided to exploit the potential of BIM as it designs, develops and builds its own real estate, and chose to adopt Infocad as its property management software also to make data available to each company department.

The process of transposition into BIM was made possible thanks to the contribution of technology: with the help of the point cloud, a model was created that was faithful in all plano-altimetric characteristics, thus avoiding errors often due to direct survey methods (AutoCAD), while from photos taken with APR, through a photogrammetric process, it was possible to generate orthophotos, in order to verify and update a number of activities such as:

• Building site
• Roofing equipment (Photovoltaic)
• Green areas
• Parking areas
• Charging station
• Electricity columns
